Welcome to the GOOD Library
Books have shaped the way I think for most of my life.
Some have challenged my assumptions. Others have changed the way I see the world. A few have become trusted companions that I've returned to time and time again, not necessarily because I agree with everything they say, but because they've encouraged me to think.
This isn't a collection of five-star reviews or a list of books everyone should read. Instead, it's a growing library of books that have influenced my thinking in some way. Some I strongly recommend. Others I admire whilst disagreeing with parts of their message. A few I challenge quite strongly.
Every review is written through the lens of The GOOD Method.
The GOOD Method is a behavioural framework built around a simple question: How do we create more choice and control in our lives, irrespective of our social or economic background? Rather than asking whether a book is simply "good" or "bad", I explore what we can learn from it, where I agree, where I disagree and how its ideas stand up today.
Rather than asking, "Is this a good book?" I ask different questions.
What can we learn from it?
Which ideas have stood the test of time?
Where does modern evidence support or challenge its conclusions?
Which principles genuinely earn their place?
I don't expect you to agree with every opinion I share, and that's the point. The purpose of GOOD Library isn't to tell you what to think. It's to encourage you to think for yourself.
If a book changes your perspective, starts a conversation or simply makes you ask better questions, then it's already done something worthwhile.
Happy reading.
