What Is the GOOD Method?
The Answer Lies Within
We live in a world full of advice.
There are thousands of books, podcasts, videos, apps and experts telling us how to improve our finances, our health, our careers and our relationships.
Yet despite having more information than ever before, many of us still struggle to create lasting change.
Why?
Because knowledge alone rarely changes behaviour.
The GOOD Method was created to bridge that gap.
It is a behavioural operating system designed to help you make better decisions, build better habits and ultimately create more choice and control in your life.
Why I Created The GOOD Method
Like many people, I've experienced setbacks, uncertainty and periods when life didn't go according to plan. During the Credit Crunch of 2007–2008, I came very close to losing everything, only managing to keep my home by the skin of my teeth.
In 2026, I wrote The GOOD Book, combining more than twenty years' experience in financial services with the lessons I learned from rebuilding my own life afterwards. The methods described eventually helped me pay off my mortgage five years early, while eliminating my credit card debt along the way.
But while writing the book, I realised something important.
Debt wasn't my real problem. Behaviour was.
That realisation led me to ask a simple question, which has since become the foundation of The GOOD Method:
How do we create more choice and control in our lives, regardless of our social or economic background?
Although my first book focuses on debt, the principles behind The GOOD Method apply far more widely to relationships, money, health, work, fitness, food and many other areas of life.
Debt was where my own journey began.
What Does GOOD Stand For?
The GOOD Method is built around four principles that provide a practical framework for making better decisions:
Gain Awareness
Understand where you are today.
Without awareness, meaningful change is impossible.
Organise
Create systems that support better decisions.
Whether that's your finances, your time, your home or your health, organisation reduces unnecessary stress and creates clarity.
Optimise
Improve your habits one decision at a time.
Small improvements, consistently applied, create remarkable long-term results.
Develop Freedom
The ultimate goal isn't simply having more money.
It's having more choice.
Lifestyle Freedom means building a life where you have greater control over your decisions, your time and your future.
